You can always stop
The radar helps start a conversation, but it does not verify another person’s identity or intentions and cannot guarantee a safe meeting.
Effective version · 20 September 2026
Before chatting
- do not add your home address, workplace, or regular route;
- select only necessary interests;
- check visibility: city search stays on until stopped; GPS runs only while the app is visible;
- do not treat approximate GPS distance as an exact location or address;
In chat
- never send documents, bank details, codes, or advance payments;
- avoid unexpected links;
- do not reveal your identity under pressure;
- after a repeated request despite refusal, end contact and report it.
If you meet
- choose a busy public place in daylight;
- tell someone you trust where you are going;
- travel independently and keep a way to leave;
- contact local emergency services if danger is immediate.
RaDaR 369 protections
The PWA requires confirmation of age 18+, separate consent for city visibility or a GPS session, and mutual greetings before chat. You can stop search, block, report and delete data. Self-confirmation of age does not verify a person’s identity.
